V-Monologues is back with an interesting stellar cast.
The V-Monologues is a play made of varying monologues, each dealing with different aspects of feminine experience, read by varying number of women.
The Nigerian version of the international stage production tells the story of Nigerian woman and their fight against violence.
Featuring in the play are Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Iretiola Doyle, Bimbo Akintola, Biola Segun-Williams, Dakore Eguson-Akande, Omonor, Kemi Lala Akindoju and Rita Edwards.
‘The strength of a woman is in her ability to speak up and refuse to be put down. Nigerian women are tired of the violence and we are using the theater and performance tools to pass this message,’ said the producer, Kemi Lala Akindoju.
Taking place at the Agip Recital Hall of the MUSON Centre, Lagos on May 3 and 4, 2013, the play is a production of Make it Happen Productions in collaboration with the Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND) and is directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa.
