Blood Moon Tetrad: Is It The End Of The World, again?

Cornerstone Church Pastor John Hagee has written a book ‘Four Blood Moons – Something is about to Change’, the book is about a rather rare astronomical phenomenon. A ‘Blood Moon’ is when the Earth goes directly in between the Sun and the Moon, then the light from the Sun passes through the Earth’s atmosphere and deflects onto the Moon. It’s called a ‘Blood’ Moon because the light of the sun passing through a great amount of the Earth’s atmosphere turns the Sun’s light red, like the low sun of a sunset.

Hagee and some other Pastors have discovered that there will be four total lunar eclipses in a row, with no partial lunar eclipses in between – something called a ‘Tetrad’ by astrologers. What has really got the Pastors all excited is that these events will coincide exactly with four Biblical holidays of Israel. In fact, we ain’t got long, because the first ‘Blood Moon’ will coincide with the first day of Passover 2014, the second with the 1st day of Tabernacles 2014, the third with the 1st day of Passover 2015 and the fourth will coincide with the 1st day of Tabernacles 2015. In between all these events will be a total eclipse of the Sun, the Solar Eclipse will happen on the First of the Jewish Month of Nissan, the ‘leading month’ in the Jewish Calendar, the month when The Children of Israel were freed from 210 years of Slavery in ancient Egypt.

Now while lunar eclipses are quite common, a tetrad coinciding with Biblical Feasts has happened just a few times in thousands of years, the last time it happened according to NASA was immediately after the six-day-war when Israel liberated Jerusalem, before that was in 1949 after Israel’s war of Independence, before that it coincided with the Spanish Inquisition, when the Jews were expelled from Spain.
